MPlayer WW is a free and open source video player that is based exclusively on MPlayer but with a different interface.
As a portable application, there is no need to install this program and it may be run from virtually anywhere included a connected USB memory stick.
The basic layout of MPlayer WW is quite nice and clean. It includes the playback controls almost all media players do including Play, Pause, Back, Next, Stop, etc. You can watch videos in either windowed or full screen. The next and previous buttons are connected to a playlist which supports drag-and-drop from the Windows Explorer.
As with all video players derived from MPlayer, MPlayer WW supports almost all types of video formats and naturally opens and plays DVD videos and Blu-ray discs without any issues. There is no need to install additional codec packs in order to take advantage of its universal nature.

Even though MPlayer WW can be a little heavy in terms of using systems resources like CPU and memory, it is certainly easy-to-use and requires no additional software or codecs in order to function properly.
